While I await the day I can conduct in-person decorating classes again, I have been overwhelmed by the outreach of students who have taken my classes, asking if I’m still teaching.

It’s taken some work, but I am! In my first couple of Zoom classes, the most common feedback that I received was that students enjoyed the close-up views they got of my decorating surface, a perspective that they could never get in a live setting. While I miss the ability to walk around and make hands-on adjustments, I appreciate the benefits of this new medium.

The virtual video lessons are a great way to learn basic and intermediate skills at your own pace – you can always pause and review something if your cookie doesn’t look like mine, or just take a quick break to grab the beverage of your choice between steps.

For those who are local to the Detroit area, I also offer complete cookie kits that include (almost) everything you will need to take the class – baked cookies, sealed bags of all of the royal icing colors needed, and decor items as needed. All you’ll need to provide is a few common household items like a pair of scissors, toothpicks, paper towels, and things like that. The cookie kits are made-to-order to ensure maximum freshness for your enjoyment.
